LS Vacuum Contactors Switch

LS vacuum contactors provide high withstand-current strength and
switching capacity as well as versatile auxiliary functions.

LS medium voltage vacuum contactors using LS vacuum interrupters manufactured
with worldclass technology are type tested in LS PT & T that is accredited high power
test lab by worldclass KOLAS.



LS Tri-MEC vacuum contactors are mainly used for the switching of motors,
transformers, capacitors in AC power lines. They can be installed in multi-stack
cubicles.
A vacuum contactor comprises several assemblies such as switching mechanism
including vacuum interrupters, magnetic actuator, high strength molded front
cover and auxiliary devices. Stable and high operating cycle is executed by the
vacuum interrupters made of high alumina ceramic tube which makes it possible
to degas in a high temperature with excellent mechanical strength.
Actuating is available either at instantaneous or continuous excitation. Functions for
safety in connecting and disconnecting are also provided.

What is RoHS?
The RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is an EU
Directive that specifically identifies six key materials so that
manufacturers are held responsible for ensuring that their
products contain controlled concentrations of the six
substances restricted by the Directive.
The Six Hazardous Substances: Below 1,000ppm of Lead
(Pb), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr+6),
Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Biphenyl
Ethers (PBDE), and below 100ppm of Cadmium (Cd).
▶RoHS : Directive on the Restriction of Hazardous
Substances in the Electronic Equipment (Effective on
February 13, 2003)



Application
Products manufactured by LSIS do not directly apply
to the RoHS Directive.
However, small inverters imbedded in sport equipment
and small breakers in large home appliances can be
indirectly applied to the Directive.
LSIS continues to comply with the RoHS directive
in order to establish environmentally Friendly
management policies and global competitiveness for
our products.
According to the Law, eight of the 10 WEEE products
excluding ‘medical equipment’ and ‘control systems’
must be RoHS compliant.
